HOW IT WORKS
Watermans Grow More Elixir® is a leave-on treatment that is applied directly to the scalp between hair washes without rinsing it out, to give the ultimate result!
This hair growth serum is perfect for those who wash their hair only once a week but want the result of having washed their hair with Waterman's hair growth products daily.
For best results, Waterman's shampoo and conditioner should be used at least 4-5 times a week. Grow More Elixir® is a leave-on treatment that can be used every day and also between washes to strengthen and increase the growth results.

I find that my hair is drier after I started with Watermans, why is that?
In a few cases, you may experience that your hair becomes dry when you start using Waterman's products. It is only temporary and comes from the fact that our hair is so used to hair products that contain sulfates. Because Waterman's products are sulfate free, it sometimes takes a transition period to get your hair used to it, so just keep using them.
Should you find that your hair is still dry after several washes, just mix your Waterman's conditioner with your regular conditioner half-half in a few washes so your hair has time to get used to being without sulphates, and then phase it out.
If you find that your hair becomes very dry and difficult to sort out, Watermans recommends using only the conditioner for a few weeks. You should preferably brush through the hair when the conditioner is in so that it is evenly distributed and has time to work everywhere. This will get you through the "dry period".
What is DHT?
DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is derived from testosterone, which is found in both men and women. Men usually have more testosterone and about 10 percent of this in most adults converts to DHT. When DHT flows freely through the bloodstream, it can then be linked to receptors in the hair follicles of the scalp, causing them to shrink and become less able to support healthy hair.
DHT & hair loss
Hair in a follicle undergoes a growth cycle that lasts about 2-6 years. When this cycle ends, your hair enters a dormant phase before falling out a few months later. The follicle produces new hair and the cycle begins again.
High levels of DHT can shrink the hair follicles as well as shorten this cycle, causing the hair to become thinner and more brittle and fall out faster. DHT can also make it take longer for your follicles to grow new hairs.
Why does DHT affect people differently?
Your tendency to hair loss depends on genetics. For example, if your dad experienced male pattern baldness, it is likely that you will show similar traits. If you are already prone to male pattern hair loss, the shrinking effect of DHT on the follicle tends to be more pronounced. The size and shape of your head can also contribute to how quickly DHT shrinks the follicles.
By using Watermans products, you provide the scalp and hair with carefully selected ingredients, which help to block DHT and potentially reduce the effect on the follicles. Follicles that lose hair through DHT can begin to die after two years, which can lead to there being no chance of future regrowth.
I thought that the quality and length of the hair could not be influenced from the outside. Am I wrong and how does Watermans work?
That hair can only be influenced from within is a myth that researchers now know is not true. Genes are one of the factors that determine your actual height and thickness. If you do not take care of your hair, you will never know what your hair's genetic potential is. One can not know what your hair is genetically capable of if due to lack of care, your hair is in a damaged condition.
Until you take care of it properly.
Here are three factors that determine how long, healthy and thick your hair is. These are: 1) Genetic factors. 2) Internal factors. 3) External factors.
Internal factors: There are internal factors that can affect our hair's genetic ability. Some of these factors include
Hormonal imbalances
Some medical conditions
Medicine
Diet and water intake
Stress levels
External factors: External factors that can affect the condition of the hair include
Our hair care and styling practices (have a hair regimen, use good products properly, avoid excessive manipulation, avoid aggressive manipulation, styles that are safe for your hair type, etc.)
Environmental damage - such as damage from UV rays, salt water, cold or humid weather conditions
Chemical damage - chemical corrosion and dyeing processes.

The lupine protein is a clinically proven hair growth stimulating ingredient that is rich in peptides, trace elements and vitamins, it has the power to revive hair growth again!

I have a disease / condition / taking medication that causes me to loose hair, can Watermans help me?
Waterman's products are cosmetically classified, ie "non-medical" and do not contain any medicines or pharmaceutical ingredients, so we can not say whether it will be suitable or not for you. But with that said, we have had many customers with different types of hair loss problems who have used Watermans and it has helped them! Of course, we can not guarantee that it will work for everyone, but they are well worth a try.
It feels like I am loosing more hair after I started using Watermans, why is that?
If you experience that you are losing more hair at the moment is completely normal because Waterman's products stimulate the hair follicles to go from the resting phase to the growth phase. Thus, it is not uncommon to see a temporary increase in hair loss for a while to allow for stronger growth. With Waterman's hair products, your hair will be synchronized so that they will grow out at the same time.
You can think of it that way, without Waterman's hair products, the hair will fall out as they normally do and that's what you usually notice. But if you add Watermans, your hair is reprogrammed to loose hair faster, which would still be lost PLUS the usual if you did not use Watermans.
Hair has a growth cycle in three stages, anagen, catagen and telogen. When your hair hits the telogen cycle, it begins to loose, as new hair prepares to grow in the follicle. When you start using Waterman's shampoo, it releases all the hairs that are in and approaching the telogen stage, so during the first weeks you loose hair that you would loose naturally anyway. Do not worry this is completely natural, a bit like weeding the garden.
Using Watermans makes my hair greasy, can I change anything in my hair care routines?
There can be various reasons why your hair becomes greasy:
Solution: Then first try to take less, usually a small amount is enough.
Solution: Be sure to rinse your hair and scalp, perhaps more thoroughly than usual.
It is only temporary and comes from the fact that our hair is so used to hair products that contain sulfates. Because Waterman's products are sulfate free, it sometimes takes a transition period to get your hair used to it, so just keep using them.
I do not want to wash my hair as often as it is recommended with Watermans. What do I do?
If you do not have the time to use Waterman's shampoo and / or conditioner 4-5 times a week as recommended, you can supplement your hair treatment with Waterman's Grow More Elixir which is a "leave-on" serum that can be used every day and also between washes to strengthen and increase growth results. The elixir is twice as strong as the shampoo.
Can I use Waterman's products on colored hair? Can the hair color fade faster?
Yes, Waterman's products can be used on colored hair. In today's world, most people have dyed or colored hair and many of our customers report that their hair feels very good with the use of Watermans.
In a few cases, the products can fade the color if you have had it bleached at some point under your current hair color, but this is very unusual. It can also happen if the hair follicles are opened to release color, as hot water can do. Try rinsing your hair with colder water to retain and capture the color in the hair shaft.

Does Watermans help with male pattern baldness?
98% of hair loss problems in men are due to genetics that cause too much DHT in the scalp. More than likely if your father has a declining hairline or is bald, then in most cases you will also be, if you do not fight the excessive DHT on the scalp.
Watermans is stuffed with natural ingredients that can block DHT.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to regrow hair from bald spots that have been so for about 2 years because the follicles begin to die after two years of hair loss. When a hair follicle is dead, there is nothing you can do. But you can still increase the hair density with the hair you have left to make the gaps appear smaller & get more stability in the existing hair. Therefore, it is a good idea to start using Watermans before it is too late.
Is Waterman's gluten free?
Gluten traditionally comes from wheat and related grains. The shampoo contains maltodextrin which can be derived from wheat, but this can also be used in gluten-free foods.
The ingredient "maltodextrin" in FDA-regulated foods is considered gluten-free if the ingredient list and / or "Contains" statement does not contain the word "wheat." Note that maltodextrin is generally considered to be gluten-free even though it is derived from wheat due to the processing. Contact your doctor before use if you have any problems.
